BtR first appeared on social media in 2022, quickly establishing itself as a trusted source of knowledge and information for those looking to escape the failing FIAT debt system.

It’s founder Tim (aka ‘The Guy in the Hat’) realised there was a niche market in the physical metals and digital assets space, where consumers were largely disconnected from investing through a mismatch in both understanding and knowledge.

To counter this, Tim authored an Amazon best seller ‘Things We Were Never Told About Money’ which quickly sold-out upon its release in August 2022. Within a year, Tim substantially increased his Instagram presence, attracting both local and international audiences on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and Patreon.

Launching into the public speaking arene in late 2022, it wasn’t long before Tim drew the attention of several leading Australian bullion companies and formed a partnership with Liberty Bullion (Melbourne).

In early 2023, Tim added a precious metals consulting arm to the growing BtR business, whilst releasing his second book ‘The Great Asset Shift’ in the August of that year.

2024 was pivotal, with the addition of Crypto Tax Australia accountants, a charismatic digital assets broker, a centre-stage speaking engagement at the prestigious Australian Gold Conference (Crown Sydney), and asset sales totalling over $100M.

With a full calendar of exciting interviews, events and engagements in 2025, a third book on the way in 2025, over 80K followers on social media, and a new senior consultant taking the chair, BtR has quickly established itself as a highly trusted global source for both precious metals and digital assets investing, knowledge and information.
